Friends

My roomate Corey "Roo" Holbert is driving his Key West boat while I sit in front looking very cold. We were out fishing for striped bass with Mike Baker and Steve Shaw about 25 miles north of Oregon Inlet, near the Wright Brothers Monument, off the coast of North Carolina's Outer Banks.

In the middle is my friend Elizabeth "Liz" Gaskins. She is from Greenville, and we went to high school together. She also attended UNC and now works for Celeris Corp. in the Research Triangle Park. With her are Allison Rogerson (left) and Lauren Cox (right), two of Liz's sorority sisters from college.

Two of my good friends from high school, (l-r) Doug Dennard, now working with Lehman Brothers in New York, and Steven Shaw, a Dook graduate who now works there cutting up rat eyes.

Me and Doug at the Carolina-Dook basketball game my freshman year. It was probably the greatest game I've ever attended (UNC beating FSU in football is a close second). No. 2 Carolina upset No. 1 Duke in Chapel Hill and the fans rushed the court after the game before carrying the celebration to Franklin Street.
