Too Simple!... Too Simple!... When you discover a new theory you don't discover the most complex relationships there will ever be. You discover the basic, elementary relationships. The complex theory you are talking about is all those little, small, simple basic, elementary relationships combined together.
Class Behavioral Interaction Theory is the study of "classes" of behavioral interaction and the study of defining a specific behavior interaction in terms of a much more generally definable class of behavioral interaction. If you speak to 20 of your friends in one day, you had 20 specific behavioral interactions. Each of those specific interactions is a member of a much bigger class of behavioral interaction. The behavioral interaction classes are run by something called Basic, Elementary, Governing Class Behavioral Interaction Relationships. Five (5) of these governing relationships have been isolated by this conjecturer. One thing to call these relationships is the word "operators" because a relationship "operates" a whole class. The governing class behavioral relationships are: cBx ~ cBy The Approximation Relationship (The Conformity Relationship) A certain amount c, of the contents of behavioral sets B, of behavioral entity x approximate a certain amount c, of the contents of behavioral sets B, of behavioral entity y. > Your ability to conform to any relationship, friendship, love relationship, the groups you find yourself in, society, is determined by how well your behaviors approximate a certain of the behaviors of your friends, lovers, groups and society. The Approximation relationship governs: friendships, love relationships, people who like each other the "same" way, dislike each other the "same" way, hate each other the "same" way, fight each other the "same" way, make love with other the "same" way, (Every so often, does she climb on top of him?) cBx /~ cBy The Non-approximation Relationship (The Deviance Relationship) A certain amount c, of the contents of behavioral sets B, of behavioral entity x do not approximate a certain amount c, of the contents of behavioral sets B, of behavioral entity y. The Deviance relationship governs: Deviance, Anti-Social behavior, Criminal behavior, Sub-cultures, Ethnic cultures, Minority cultures, Alternative cultures, alternative lifestyle, Counter cultures, behind the counter culture, under the counter culture, runs counter to society culture, (the counter-revolution?) cBx > cBy The Greater Than Relationship (The Authority Relationship) A certain amount c, of the contents of behavioral sets B, of behavioral entity x are greater than a certain amount c, of the contents of behavioral sets B, of behavioral entity y. When an army wins a war against an enemy, it is because the behaviors of war of the army were greater than the behaviors of war of the enemy. A war of attrition means the army had more men and materials to throw at the enemy than the enemy had to throw back. The Authority relationship governs: Leadership, Authority figures, Discrimination, Bigotry, Intellectual bigotry, Moral bigotry. cBx > -cBy The Greater Opposition Relationship (The Contary Relationship) A certain amount c, of the contents of behavioral sets B, of behavioral entity x are greater than a certain amount c, of the oppositeof the contents of behavioral sets B, of behavioral entity y. The reason why there is peace in the world is because the behaviors of relative world peace are greater than the behaviors of world war. As long as the behaviors of relative world peace are greater than the behaviors of world war, we will continue to have relative world peace. The Greater Opposition relationship governs: Perhaps more anti-social behavior, Any interaction where your behaviors are greater than the opposite of that behavior in them. cBx ~ -cBy The Opposition Relationship (The ? Relationship) A certain amount c, of the contents of behavioral sets B, of behavioral entity x approximates a certain amount c, of the opposite of contents of behavioral sets B, of behavioral entity y. It is still being conjectured what this governing relationship can be used for. It is being included because it could be a needed operator. 1st Updated: Thu, Feb 4, '99 2nd Updated: Tue, Feb 1, '00 |
