Weather Forecasting/Meteorology-- I've always enjoyed weather forecasting, and I read as much as I can on the subject. Mesocale meteorology and hurricanes are my favorite topics. I finally attended spotter training classes from Birmingham, AL and Huntsville, AL offices this past fall. Creative Writing-- I've written more than 400 poems, some 1st place winners in local contests the last few years. I also minored in Creative Writing as an undergraduate at JSU. Horticulture-- After working for several years at a greenhouse, I built my own personal one in my backyard. I mainly grow epiphytic cacti, but I also have a small collection of bonsai. Cycling-- Three words: Chief Ladiga Trail. The link will take you to the largest collection of photos of the trail online, more than 200. This is my other website, soon to be merged with this one. Hiking-- If there's a waterfall, an old mill, or an abandoned rail trestle, I'll find it. I love exploring and camping along the Pinhoti Trail, too. Webpage Design-- I'm fluent enough in HTML to create pages that satisfy me, at least. I've also created pages for Dr. Klimasewski at JSU for the introductory Physical Geography Lab. |
