Home History Members Schedule Charlie's Angels - January Information

Oddly enough, none of the founding members (Steve Katterhenry, Matt Hart, and Dave Stewart) are currently with Charlie, so the early history of the band is only whispered about in legends. The band performed its first gig on Halloween, 1992. The band played bars in the Evansville area for a while, developing a following with their zany behavior and flair for drunkenness. Matt was added to the band as a bass player, where he brought even more fans into the fold. Meanwhile, Kevin, Kerry, and Bryce were finding little acceptance as the progressive hard rock trio, Phobophob. After calling it quits, they went down to a local bar to hang out with their long-time friend and ex-bandmate, Matt (Pretentious Wankers.....hey there, Mr. Morell) to see how his new band was doing. Continual partying and debauchery ensued. But, alas, internal strife eventually caught up with the old Charlie and it soon became inevitable that a new unit would be formed...

The result was a new band, Wailbone, which took the fun qualities of the old Charlie and combined it with the musical muscle of Phobophob. The band worked their asses off for several years, increasing their repertoire until they decided it was time to don the old moniker and go out to recapture their old stomping grounds. Since signing with The Lone Knight Group, the band has just been everywhere, and seems poised to break out of the local scene with their upcoming release, Somewhere Else To Sleep. It is scheduled for a Thanksgiving release. (Actually, lazy musicians being what they are, we will have to wait a little longer for the CD. Seriously, the Charlie boys have been sooooo busy with their leap into regional status.....be patient.)

Jamey Marrs has arrived! Come witness his percussive rantings beginning Dec. 15 at Marina Pointe! I must say.....the boy likes to hit things!
