"GOD GIVES US THE CHOICE"

Throughout human history, God has given mankind the freedom to choose between Him and the sins of this world, or the flesh.  Mankind first made the wrong choice when Adam and Eve ate of the forbidden fruit, resulting in their loss of the utopia of the Garden of Eden, and in God placing the curse on the earth (Genesis 3:17), which we still must face today.

Making the right choice is a clear and simple matter.  All we have to do is to first realize that we are sinners (Romans  3:23: For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God).  Once we realize that we are sinners and that there's nothing we can do on our own to get out of this mess, we must recognize that God CAN get us out of it, and He has already chosen to do so and paid the price for us.  At that point, we must make the choice to have faith in God and to believe the Gospel (I Corinthians 15:1-4:  Moreover, brethren, I declare unto you the gospel which I preached unto you, which also ye have received, and wherein ye stand; by which also ye are saved, if ye keep in memory what I have preached unto you; unless ye have believed in vain.  For I delivered unto you first of all that which I also received, how that Christ died for our sins according to the scriptures; and that he was buried and that he rose again the third day according to the scriptures).

If we make the right choice, God as Creator, does a work of creation within us (II Corinthians 5:17:  Therefore, if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature:  Old things are passed away; behold, all thing are become new).

As believers, we must put off the old life style, the old sin nature, and become renewed in our minds by putting on the new person.  This is of paramount importance, because making the right choice determines where we are going to spend eternity.  Making the choice to believe God will not be our last choice in life, we must constantly make the choice to live in such a manner that we will glorify God in our every activity, but making the subsequent choices will be easier as we will be guided by the Holy Spirit in our each endeavor...
