Hong Kong History

Hello everyone, this is a page
in which I am going to talk about my hometown Hong
Kong. I want my friends and others understand something about this amazing
place in Asia. First, however, I need people to know that Hong Kong is part of
China. It is not part of Japan or Korea... And Jacky
Chan (Rush Hour), Bruce Lee (Enter the Dragon), Jet Li (Lethal Weapon 4) and
Chow Yun Fat (The Corruptor) are all from Hong Kong "CHINA". I
remembered one time there was a Korean guy telling me that Bruce Lee is Korean
and he said Korea is the best. It is OK if he said Korea is the best
because we all know they aren't. But when he said Bruce Lee is Korean,
that pissed me off really bad. How in the world would he dare to stand in front
of a Chinese-son of the Dragon and say that Bruce Lee (who is from Hong Kong China)
is Korean????? Well maybe they are jealous... but we all know Hong
Kong got all the PIMP DADDIES right!!!!
Before I throw out my opinions, I want you people to know a brief history of
Hong Kong:
"On
July 1, 1997, over a hundred and fifty years of British rule ended in Hong Kong
as it returned to China. During its complex history, Hong Kong has grown
from a nearly uninhabited island to a thriving living city with over 6 million
residents. Established as a British colony in 1841, the tiny island of
Hong Kong has played a significant role in global politics for the last one
hundred and fifty years. Many of Asia's dramatic upheavals have been
reflected in the mirror of Hong Kong's own tumultuous history: ceded to the
British after the first Opium War, populated by a flood of refugees from China
and other Asian nations, bombed and occupied by Japan during World War II, and
finally ceded back to China by Britain in 1997. Nearly every period of
this history tells the story of conflicting and resolved tensions between the
many parties forced to coexist on Hong Kong-Asia and the West, Communists and
capitalists, citizens and government. To fully understand the setting in
which the transition back to Chinese rule takes place, it is necessary to become
familiar with the complex tides of Hong Kong history."
This
is the new Hong Kong flag after Hong Kong returned back to China.
This is the old flag while Hong Kong was still a British Colony and we were
still under the British control.
This is the Flag of People Republic of China.
