El Librito del Mundo Hispanohablante
Introduction

Who does what?

Now that we've narrowed things down to just one country per group, you need to continue narrowing things down! Within your group pick a person who will be responsible for each of these important aspects of your chosen place.

El demógrafo/la demógrafa (aka "the maps and facts person"): "Just the facts, Ma'am" - that's you! Your job is to find out the relatively boring, but easy to locate information that sets the tone for your presentation. What is the capital of this country? How about the unit of currency? How many people live in this place? Any chance that any of them speak English? Click here for a list of things you need.

El/la naturalista (aka "the scientist"): You're interested in the environment - the terrain, the little creatures (furry and otherwise), the weather, and how all of this affects the country you're studying. How do people use the environment to make a living? Click here for a list of what you need to bring to the book.

El divertido/la divertida (aka "if there's fun to be found, you'll find it!") : You're the person who's out to have some fun. Your job is to find out what you can do for fun in this country. You're on the lookout for tourist attractions as well as good places to eat (and, since any traveller knows you can't get very far on an empty stomach, you're also responsible for finding out what the traditional and currently popular foods are). You also are in charge of finding out about music in this country. Click here for your list.

As a team, plan out what your book will look like. You will need a title page, a page on facts (perhaps including a map?), some pages with graphics, a page on food, maybe a page with something about music or movies, as well as a page that shows interesting things to see in your chosen country. You'll need a page that shows where you found your information, too. Leave your names until the very last page; this way when the 7th graders read your book, they won't find out until the very end who wrote it.
