A Mithrandir and Legolas Gentle Slash Series
by Greenwood & Wednesday

"I was suggesting to Peter yesterday he should insert some love interest for Gandalf in a later [film].
He suggested Galadriel... I said, no, I was thinking more of someone like Legolas."
--Sir Ian McKellan, Sunday February 17, 2002, The Observer

SKIP INTRO & TAKE ME BELOW TO THE STORY LIST

The "In Your Perfect Time" series is outlined and we (mostly) know where it's going. That, of course, is subject to change as soon as Mithrandir or Legolas decide that they want to go somewhere else. Below is a title list; those titles without links haven't been written yet. We'll add them as they're finished.

While Greenwood has read The Lord of the Rings since she was a child, Wednesday's introduction to the epic was her first viewing of "The Fellowship of the Ring." She read the books afterward, but neither one of us is a Tolkien scholar. This means that we're writing these things for fun rather than any serious attempt to add to or mimic Tolkien.

We've incorporated canon in some places, but we've entirely ignored it in others and all without apology in an attempt to tell a story that touches you, makes you laugh and/or cry. While we borrow elements from Tolkien, our fiction is essentially "movie-fic," meaning those are the visual images we work with and the images of the characters we have. You can send flames or praise to us here.

Please note that these stories do NOT contain explicit sex scenes. They are based in emotional love and intimacy more than physicality between the Elf and the Istar, and are suitable for all readers. Mass-market romance novels contain more explicit love scenes than do these stories. (Hey, YOU try getting Legolas to let you into their bedchamber; we wish you better luck than we've had.)

(NOTE: If you want or need explicit sex scenes, may we suggest the Master-Apprentice Archive dedicated to the slash couple of Qui-Gon Jinn and Obi-Wan Kenobi? Or perhaps Wednesday's Q/O slash fiction housed elsewhere on this site? We've found that the Jedi are far less shy than the Wizard and the Elf when it comes to voyeurs.)

Also, in case it needs to be said: everything in these stories is fiction, any resemblance to persons living or dead is entirely coincidental. No real person slash (RPS) is contained herein, as we unequivocably refuse to write anything approaching RPS about anyone on this planet or beyond it.

Additionally, you'll find no chan slash here. (Chan being defined for our purposes as slash fiction written between an older man and an underage boy). We don't know and don't care what the age of consent is in Middle Earth; the bottom line is that Gandalf is not one to take advantage of children, nor is he a pederast. Any love scenes occurring between those two occur after the Elf is all grown up. 'Nuff said?
