Comeau's Hill & Little River Harbour Fire Department
The Comeau's Hill and Little River Harbour Fire Department was located in the community of Little River Harbour, in Yarmouth County, Nova Scotia, Canada. Before there was a fire hall in the area, the resident of Comeau's Hill and Little River Harbour would depend on Wedgeport for their fire service. Everytime that there was a fire in Comeau's Hill or Little River Harbour, the residents would have to pay the firefighters from Wedgeport for their services.
In 1977 the residents of the area decided it was time they had their own firehall, so in the year of 1978, they opened their own fire department with 2 firetrucks to serve the communties. As time went on, and there were cuts to their budget, they found that they did not have the neccesary funds to repair one of their trucks. Having only one truck left, they once again had to depend on Wedgeport, or join with them.
