I also have a 1969 FLH. It is in the process of being restored to better than original condition. I bought it as a basket case a few years ago. Something else that just isn't done very often today. You don't hear about basket cases anymore. I got real lucky on this one though. The frame was never modified in any way. No one ever cut on it or welded anything to it. The engine was in great shape. There was no evidence that anyone ever beat on the cases and the cylinders were in such good shape that they only had to be bored ten thousanths over stock. I installed all new components including rods and crank. I can even burn unleaded gas in this thing without any additives. When I'm finished I want to have a brand new 69.
I don't have any pics of my 69 yet, but I will soon...
