Once you have your Site ID, you must add the necessary code to your Home Page. Remember, when you put this code on your page, you need to check very carefully and put your actual Site ID everywhere that it says --SITEID--, or it won't work properly. You will also need to download to your own computer one set of two graphics for the Webring panel - see below - and the file whrainbobtn.gif. (To download a graphic file, right-click on the graphic and choose "Save picture as...")
Important! - The Ring code must go on the page that is referenced when you add yourself to the Queue! Someone surfing through the ring (and that includes the Webring spider!) should be able to find your ring code on the very first page that they see when they go to your site through the ring! This is a courtesy to everyone, as well as a requirement, so that people who are not interested in your site can continue on to the next site in the ring. Sites that do not comply with this requirement will be removed from the ring automatically until fixed. |
