Well, I attended the final lecture on the "arts" last evening. I am now even more convinced than before that art is what flows naturally from God; the beauty in elements and color, in sound and scent, and in the nature that surrounds us. Now man has the option of taking these elements and combining them as a unique expression of his creation, but only that which truly compliments the original Creator should be labeled as art. My humble and personal opinion.
I have not been sleeping very well lately. I am gripped lately with a sense of "urgency", but I don't really know for what? It's almost like I have to "live" as much as I can in every minute of the day for some reason. Probably that "middle-age crisis" rearing its ugly head again. I wonder, does this stage ever pass? Last night I had this incredible urge to bake cookies after even the mice were asleep. I resisted though!
I have begun reading another journalist's entries on a very regular basis - for me, this Lady is probably the leader in on-line journals! Her name is Willa Cline and if you would like to check her out, please pop over to Willa's Journal . She has set up a camera that allows her to send images to the net every 90 seconds. Last night, I just had to write her and ask where she was? After all, I wanted to see her! Come to find out Ms. Willa's little kitty was very ill and she was dealing with some difficult issues. Even so, this fine Lady was nice enough to e-mail me an explanation. Euuhhhhh. I really felt terrible. It's so easy to get all caught up in the persona of the person on a web site and forget that they are breathing and living simultaneously with you somewhere on this planet. And facing their own issues and trials. My sympathy to you Willa in this difficult time. I know how attached my Keith and I are to our "babies" (cat and dog) and can only imagine the hurt that you must be working through!
Well, in case anyone has noticed, I have had a total re-vamping of these pages today. I don't know why. It just seemed like the right thing to do. I so love nature - I so love green - and I just fell in love with these graphics sooooo, I have changed my homepage, journal homepage and all subsequent journal entries for now. Although, I do plan on playing a bit on different entries, depending on the mood and season. It kind of makes it more interesting.
Needless to say, I feel much better than I have been and I am once again gung ho about playing with this site. I hope you will like the changes and let me have feedback.
I also figured out how to allow visitors to view my guestbook (I didn't even know that was possible). I am learning a little bit each day and loving it.
Adios for now!!! I am off for an evening of cuddling under a blanket (it's 75 degrees now and still falling and it feels soooo nice), knitting, reading and watching TV. This will be my first night home this week and I am really looking forward to it. I may even heat up Keith's left-overs (fried chicken, gravy, rice and black-eyed peas with peppers - he has a stomach like iron) instead of making him do it himself.
