Where are the Sheela Na Gigs?


A Locational Guide

Many of the Sheelas are very hard to find without help. Due to the nature of people's attitudes towards these images, they've been thrown in rivers, locked in basements, and defiled. Also, the effects of weather over the past 800 years are considerable. Much of this information is due to the hard work of Jorgen Anderson and Jack Roberts. Also, the illustrations are stolen from Jack Roberts article in White Dragon, and from Tara's Sheela Na gig page.

While the locational guide is being created, here are some pictures of the Sheelas.
