Wednesday, August 29, 1888

Rhoda Hurt was married to E. A. Merry. Mary and I went to

the wedding. There was a large crowd. Another one of my

old girls gone.

Sunday, September 02, 1888

Laura came up here yesterday. I was telling her about this

book and she wanted me to show it to her but I would not. I

took here home on a velocipede, and her brother George

came up with me and stayed all night and went to St. Cloud

with Amodan this morning to take ??? for school.

Monday, September 03, 1888

Poor little Beatrice Sylvester died this morning after being

sick over a month. Age 3 1/2 months.

Tuesday, September 04, 1888

They brought her down here last night and Kate, Frank, Mary

and I took her down and had her buried beside Father in the

Santiago Cemetery. Quite a lot of our old friends and

acquaintances attended the funeral.

Friday, October 05, 1888

I start for Atkins tonight with Hilda and Fulton. Will stay about

two weeks and help them build a new house.

Saturday, October 06, 1888

Got to Brainard at 1:30 P.M.. Got on a freight train and went

to Aitkens. Found a neighbor there with his team. We went

out with him and stayed with him all night.
