I took sister Mary down to Mr. Hubbords to teach school

there. This is her first term, and I hope she will make a

success of it.

Monday, October 13, 1890

It rained all day. I went up north a couple of miles hunting and

killed a two year old doe. This is the first deer I have saw

since last fall.

Sunday, November 09, 1890

It snowed last night. John Tripp, Ralph Schull and myself

went hunting. We killed five deer R. killed two the first that he

had killed for six years. I killed one, so did J. and the other

we killed together. This was the best days hunt that I ever

took part in.

Monday, November 17, 1890

Ralph, John & I went to Ground House to hunt we killed five

deer and had lots of fun, came home Dec. 3.

Friday, December 05, 1890

third time

I went up to get Elwell to thresh and coming home I killed two

deer.

Sunday, December 07, 1890

Bro. Joe went out to St. Cloud to go to school. This is the

first time that he was ever away from home
