Saturday, August 02, 1890

Last night my yearling colt and pet "Nellie" jumped over the

fence and broke her leg so that I had to shoot her. it was the

hardest thing to do that I ever did. This is the largest loss I

ever had. She was worth about $100.00.

Sunday, August 03, 1890

Mary and I went down to Tripps stayed all day. Billey &

Jennie come up with us and stayed all night we had lots of

fun.

Monday, September 01, 1890

I went out to St. Cloud to get work. Staid there until Saturday

went to see Whitneys, Shaws, Hubbards I had a good time.
