| I commenced working for the Wis. Lumber Co. at 1.25 per |
| day. Well when I left home I thought I would not have to work |
| out any more but alas there is many a slip between the cup |
| and the lip. |

| I went to church today, the same place where Kate and I went |
| eight years ago. It seemed like living them days over again |
| but that can never can be. |
| Friday, July 03, 1891 |
| I quit working for the Wis. Lumber Co. and Nellie and Maud |
| came down from Minneapolis. |
| Monday, July 06, 1891 |
| I started for home, came to Milaca staid at Milaca all night got |
| home at 5 o'clock P.M. July 7. |

| I went over to Kerrick's staid until 11 o'clock P.M. this is the |
| first time that I ever got Annie to sit up with me. |
| Friday, August 07, 1891 |
| My term of office as Clerk of school Dist. No. 34 Benton Co |
| expired and I turned the books over to J. Williams my |
| successor in office. |

| Johnny Secambe came back from Montana had been gone a |
| year. |
