An awful hot day. There was a dance at Oak Park and I had

Miss Myrtle Brown for my partner. this is the first time that I

ever took her any place

Wednesday, September 02, 1891

Joe and I went out hunting saw two deer and Joe killed one, a

large buck. This is the second one he ever killed.

Friday, September 04, 1891

There was a debating contest at Oak Park. Joe and Jim took

part in it.

Monday, September 07, 1891

I started for Mille Lacs Lake. Went to Mora on the train and

walked from there. Pete Kennedy went with me. We were all

over the Reservation. Got home on Friday the 11th.

Wednesday, October 07, 1891

I bought out R.W. Shull of his share in our exhibition outfit and

am going to run it on my own hook, paid him 50 dollars.

Saturday, October 24, 1891

Gave my first show at Oak Park and took in seven dollars.

Did better than I expect.

Sunday, October 25, 1891

I went to see Myrtle and we went over to the St. Francis for a

walk. I stayed until 11:30 P.M. I think more of her all the time.

She is so affectionate.
