Sunday, May 21, 1893

Sister Mary and I went down to Hurts we went to church in the

afternoon in the evening we went over to see a new house

that is being built near there. I went with Lizzie and Mary went

with Orez we staid all night and had a fine time. Came home

on the hand car next morning. Very near froze as it was so

cold.

Saturday, May 27, 1893

I started from home and went over to Milaca. Took the train

to Minneapolis. Went and stayed all night and over Sunday

with Mrs. Shull and Arthur. We all took dinner with Nellie

White. I went over and stayed a few hours with Charlie

Shatto. Monday morning I started for Owatonna arrived there

at 11:45 A.M. found Miss Ella Foster in the afternoon. She

found Mr. Fred Boyer and myself a place to stay that evening

Tuesday morning we were joined by other S??, among which

were Homer Typler of Simpson, D. Hunt of Waterville, Abbie

Rhoads of Warwick. the Misses Ryan of Lemond, Florence

Foster of Lemond, and several others of Owatonia. We all

went out to the Cemetary and heard the services of

"Memorial Day" when that was concluded we went back and

had our meeting then went to the D.A.R. hall and had our

supper and played games until 10 P.M. I started home at

7:45 A.M. come to Milaca that evening May 31, and stayed

with Franks all night. Walked home, got here at 11 o'clock

A.M. I had a fine time and do not regret going, hope I can go

next year.
