I lost "Old Kitty" she died tonight there was something the

matter with her heart. So goes another hundred dollars. It

seems that I can not get ahead any no matter how hard I work

and continue to get along.

Tuesday, April 19, 1983

Ralph Shull moved out of the woods he came in last fall. Built

a house but his wife did not like it so he has left again for

good. It began to snow on the morning of April 19. Has

snowed two days and two nights and is still snowing a little

today the 21. Lew Hart has been here all week this is the first

that he has been here for four years.

Saturday, April 29, 1893

I went down to Tripps and stayed all night. Sunday I went over

to Hurts stayed there Sunday and Monday went over to see

Martin. This is the first time that I have been down to see any

of them since last fall. I had a good time with Lizzie as I

generally do.

Sunday, May 07, 1893

I has rained and snowed all day more or less. This is the

worst day I ever saw for the first of May. The World Fair at

Chicago opens today. I wonder if I get to go. I guess not. I

got home Tuesday at noon felt tired and heart sore.
