The snow has been gone for a week it is warm and bright like
the last days of April. I was burning off meadows today.
Fulton came in this morning the first he has been here since
last summer he went back on train tonight.

Sister Mary was married at Minneapolis to Mr. William
Gutherie. The last of our sisters. They are all married now.
And we three boys are left with Mother - well I hope they will
be happy and get along well. I wonder who's turn it will be
next.

Sister Hilda & Neal came home today. She got tired of living
in the woods and I don't blame her either. It is not right that
she should stay up there with old Amadon for he is the
meanest man that ever lived. If Fulton can't furnish her a
home somewhere else she had better leave him. Such is life.
Those that are married wish they were single and them that
are single wish they were married. I am sure I don't know
which is best.

I drove to Sauk Rapids and back to get some grass seed
awarded by the State to seed meadows burned out by fires
last fall. I got two bu. of red top and one of timothy. This is
the first time I ever drove out and back in a day.
