The last time I ever

Amanda was

I went out to St. Cloud and went to Charley's stayed over

danced

opposed to dancing

night. Came home Christmas morning. Went up to see

because of her

Manda but she had gone over to Glockners. I was

disappointed so I went down to Tripps and from there to a

dance at Adams. Had a good time. this is the first good

dance I have been to since last May.

Thursday, December 27, 1894

I went up to see my little girl Manda. We spent a happy

evening together. She looked prettier than ever this evening,

darling little girl I love her more every time I see her. If I was

only sure she really loved me how happy I would be.

Wednesday, January 02, 1895

I killed a wolf today. This is the first one I ever killed. Jim was

with me. Got him down on the St. Francis meadow below

Tripps. Killed it about 35 rods.

Saturday, February 16, 1895

I went to Williams to a candy pull. Took Manda. We had a

good time. this is the first time that I have been in Williams

house for a long time.

Sunday, February 17, 1895

But she did

I went with John Tripp up in to Morrison Co. to look after Rail

Road land. We went to Cheeleys & I stayed all night there.

Had a good visit. Saw Miss Stella and all the rest of the girls.

I had not been there since a year ago last November. If "The

Little" girl don't ?? me pretty good it will not be long again

before I go that way once more.
