Sunday, October 13, 1895

I have just been reading my old Autograph Album and it

makes me feel sad to read the many old friends names there

that have long since gone to other places or some have

passed from this world to the next. How little we know of the

world and its grind and turmoil until we get out of the home

nest and combat with it.

Sunday, November 03, 1895

I am 29 years old today. How time goes fleeting by. One

year more and I will be an old bachelor and I might add that I

must consider my life half gone and I have not accomplished

any thing either.

Monday, November 04, 1895

I gave Will my job in the R.R. store to Will and went to work in

the Round House with the boiler maker but I do not like it. I

long to go home but stay because I am anxious to get a little

money ahead.

Friday, November 08, 1895

I joined the order of Good ?? like what little I have saw of it

very well.

Sunday, November 10, 1895

How I wish I was on Grand House with the boys today. I don't

believe I will ever get over the desire to hunt. At times it

seems I must go.

Monday, December 30, 1895

Went up to see my little girl in the evening. We had a good

time together. She is more lovely than ever. I was glad to get

home again. I am about sick and need rest.
