Jim came up to Milaca and brought me home. I went up to

see Manda. She had been sick and looked very tired. I

succeeded in getting her to name the day when we would be

married. It will be next Thanksgiving Day. I feel happy and

content and shall do all I can to get things ready and have a

little place to take her to.

Wednesday, June 17, 1896

Mary came home from Barnesville and brought her little baby

boy. She calls him Geo. Sylvester Gutherie. He was born

last March and is a big fellow. It seems funny to see

"Smooty" with a baby.

1920 Sept. 1 Marjory

Sister Hilda came out on a visit. She had not been out here

is married and has

Marjory. Hilda was looking very well, better than she has for
