The rainbow ribbon campaign came about when I took a look at one of my webpages and realised that I had about five or six different ribbon campaigns on my page...I had a purple one, a blue one, a red one, a pink one (??), and I think a yellow or green one, and is there a black ribbon for something? How about white ones? So I combined all these ribbons -- the rainbow ribbon campaign fits almost every cause I can think of, and includes, but is not limited to, the following:

  1. Curing disease: AIDS, cancer, asthma, diabetes
  2. An end to violence against men, women, and children
  3. A prayer to end drinking and driving
  4. An end to war and a hope for peace
  5. Treating others kindly
  6. Being friends with others rather than enemies
  7. Ending child abuse/molestation
  8. Freedom of speech
  9. A world where skin color/religion/sexual orientation doesn't matter
  10. Each one of us can be happy
  11. Gender equality (no gender better than the other)
  12. Being the best we can be without forgetting who we are
Please, if you support any or all of these causes, place a rainbow ribbon on your page. I've created a number of graphics for the rainbow ribbon. If you want to place the ribbon, but prefer to make your own graphic, that would be great! Just e-mail me the URL where I can view the graphic, so that I can see what you did. :) As long as the ribbon itself is there, everything's okay. All the graphics on this page were made by me, but you're free to use them on your own page, but please link the graphic back to this page -- I would really appreciate it. If you would like to join the webring for this page, that would be great too. Even if you don't, please visit the members of the ring and sign their guestbooks. Anyone who believes in one or all of the reasons I mentioned can join the ring, or if you know of an important campaign/reason I've forgotten, please let me know, and I'll add it right away. This is sort of a catch-all fight for rights ring. I chose a rainbow ring because the rainbow seemed like a sign of hope to me -- I love it when the rainbow comes out after the rainstorm, when the sun shines down and the puddles look like large crystal lakes. :)
