| who are we? We are the alumnae of Out of the Blue, the first women's a cappella group founded at Duke University in 1980. Basically, this means that we used to meet several times a week to stand in a circle and create music together. There's much more to tell, but that's a good starting place.  Now,
we are doctors and marketing executives, lawyers and
teachers. We are music conductors and writers, mothers
and professors. Some of us are HR directors, accountants,
and stockbrokers; others are artists, homemakers, or
public relations specialists. Many of us are in graduate
or medical school, while others have gleefully left the
ivory tower with papers in hand. But
