I told you it was the best joint in town!!!



 

I have always enjoyed open microphone night at coffee houses. People brave enough to step out into the spotlight to share a part of themselves through songs, stories, poetry, and stand up acts. This can all be found on open mic. night. Some are very good..and well some are very bad..¬¿ô. Yet they are all a part of that person's creative soul and represent the courage with in.

That is what I have tried to create here at the Backroom. So slip a quarter in the jukebox ( okay so it is more like a five spot , but hey this my virtual jukebox so splurge), pick a tune, order a latte, ( my favorite) and find a seat, (hey there is one over by the kitchen, don't you hate that , the only seat left and it s always by the kitchen door).
