"Imagination is more important than knowledge.
Knowledge is limited. Imagination encircles the world."

Albert Einstein

"Come faeries, take me out of this dull world,
for I would ride with you upon the wind and dance upon the
mountains like a flame."

- W.B. Yeats

I Have a Dream
I have a dream, a song to sing,
To help me cope with everything
If you see the wonder of a fairy tale
You can see the future even if you fail
I believe in angels
Something good in everything I see
I believe in angels
When I know the time is right for me
I'll cross the stream - I have a dream
I have a dream, a fantasy
To help me through reality
And my destination makes it worth the while
Pushing through the darkness still another mile
I believe in angels
Something good in everything I see
I believe in angels
When I know the time is right for me
I'll cross the stream - I have a dream
I'll cross the stream - I have a dream
I have a dream , a song to sing ,
To help me cope with anything
If you see the wonder of a fairy tale
You can take the future even if you fail
I believe in angels
Something good in everything I see
I believe in angels
When I know the time is right for me
I'll cross the stream - I have a dream
I'll cross the stream - I have a dream.

Ode to my Faerie Kingdom
She came into the clearing
holding a satin ribbon with bells on the end
dragging a tree branch behind her
and she giggled sweetly
spinning madly
the hem of her skirts flying
she was beauty never ending
and I loved her freely
but the storm will take her away
and I may never get her back
but what if I grow to old to see her?
and soon my child's eyes are grown?
Or what if when i'm older
this goddess will be gone?
I will part with my imagination
and I will lose all my beliefs.
I will be too busy
or they will tell me it is weak
to hold hands with the faerie goddess
and dance among these leaves.
I may even become bitter
from holding back my freedoms,
or maybe i'll just write this down
an Ode to Faerie Kingdoms,
and the places that i've been
where no mortal dared to go,
because the non-believers can't get in!
Then I won't become like them,
and lose my innocence on a silly whim,
or ever forget this clearing in the forest
where I played and laughed and danced with a goddess.

No Such Things As Faries
In our childhood years we learn that fairies glow,
and this is good as everyone knows.
But we partake the juice of the dark berries
though we know there are no such thing as fairies...
We cry, though we rarely let it show,
our tears fall like melting mountain snow.
But still the fairies float like smoke rings though the night.
stealing us blind with their mythical magical sight.
And with the fortune to seize priceless treasures,
and the subsequent Moonshadian pleasures
and as we grow older and bolder and drawn,
the fairies visit us less till, alas, they are gone.
But for our offspring the fairies will still glow,
and this is good as every child knows.
But we keep partaking in the juice of the dark berries
for we know that there are no such things as fairies...
"Come away, O human child!
To the waters and the wild
With a faery, hand in hand,
For the world's more full of weeping
than you can understand.

Your Faeires
The dusk is calm, your eyes are cold
The ferns grow full in curling fronds
The path is straight, the trees are dense
Your faeries touch the damp-edged ponds
The moon is full and stars are bright
You've found here what it always takes
The grass is soft, the air is sweet
Your faeries swim in lucid lakes
The night pulls on in blighted dreams
You find you have no other choice
Your mind sinks deep in follied fear
Your faeries sing in unsure voice
The pre-dawn light is grim and veiled
In seething hate and frozen blood
The clouds are harsh and bringing rain
Your faeries sink into the mud
The sun is rising, the sparrows squawk
Echoing words of mindless fools
You sink into a dark cocoon
Your faeries drown in stagnant pools.

If Only It Mattered
Trees surrounding,
Shadows cast down,
Whirlwinds of dust,
Sweeping the ground.
Rays of light,
Taking the fear,
Watching closely,
Hoping it's near.
On the wings of a fairy,
Fluttering by,
Nervously flying,
On clouds of high.
Sprinkling anxieties
From flower to flower,
Afraid of life, yet
Grabbing for power.
First to bloom,
First to die,
Each life a struggle,
Never ask why.
If only each day
Had an impact on life.
No longer the greed,
No longer the strife.
Each fighting to live,
Only to die!
A fairies soft dust, cause
A tear in the eye.
Fall to the ground,
Shatter the power.
Take back the greed.
IF ONLY IT MATTERED!
