Education
To update you on my progress in education, let me explain what I have discovered to be amazing.... hands! Wow! They move whatever direction you want them to, just by thinking about it! Isn't that incredible? And they have long flexible extensions called fingers that can actually move separately. Mommy says they're my hands; it's so nice to know that something so beautiful belongs to me.
Hands are also amazingly convenient for those moments when I have an overwhelming need to chew on something. They're always so available!
Something else I've recently discovered (but unfortunately can't chew on) is a camera. When Mommy or Daddy points the big black shiny tube at me, I really feel like a star!
I still spend a lot of time staring and studying things. Sometimes I'm a quiet observer, but other times I can get very motivated by what I'm looking at and start squealing, flapping my arms, kicking my legs, and shouting, "That's so cool!" (although, I admit, it does sound more like "huhhuhuh" to the average listener).
I have really been perfecting my laugh. I've realized that it will sound a lot more like Mommy and Daddy's laughs if I put my voice through my mouth more than my nose. Now I get a lot of breath into my laughs and can laugh for a long time, and it's so funny it makes me laugh more! It feels like my whole body is laughing!
In fact, this secret of learning how to push my voice through my mouth and not the nose is useful in many other ways too. Now I'm very capable of making a lot of pretty vowel sounds, long, short, extended.... I love making them, and I especially love seeing that Mommy and Daddy respond happily to them. (And of course, that makes me laugh.....)
