Education

My newly acquired ability to sit by myself has enabled me to discover so many things in such a detailed and precise way! I knew, for example, that those colorful shapes were just in front of me, but I had never realized how cold and hard they were, or how I could pull and push them to turn the music on. I also learned in my sixth month on this planet that everything is touchable and everything is tasteable -- although sometimes you have to taste really fast before Mommy and Daddy say, "Not in the mouth!" They say that a lot about my leaves.

Too bad. They have a nice crunchy texture and taste like the wind. That's probably the main reason I love to collect them.

At Mamée and Papé's garden in southern France, I discovered leaves that grow around clumps of little green balls! They were amazingly beautiful. I wish we had leaves like that in Paris.

It was in Mamée's garden that Mommy finally convinced me that flowers could be as beautiful as leaves.
