Alimentation
Since my landing, I’ve discovered this powerful feeling of needing something in my tummy. It happens every one or two hours and makes me so frustrated that I guess I make some weird faces, because Mommy usually looks at me and says, "You want to nurse?" (But sometimes, for some strange reason, she says, "Oh my gosh, again?")
I have to say, this "nursing" thing is definitely a benefit of this world. I love being in Mommy’s arms and looking up at her while I take in all the warm milk I want. And then when I’m not "hungry" anymore (that’s what this need in my tummy is called), I can just fall asleep or hang around and play!
Another great thing about nursing is that it’s so portable! Mommy and I nurse anywhere I want to. And I like to nurse in the most interesting places I can find. What a great part of this "life" thing!
I think the park is a beautiful place to nurse. Nursing after a nice swim in the warm bathtub is a fantastic way to spend the morning! Now that Mommy has gone back to work, I've discovered a new way to "nurse." It's not really nursing because Mommy's not actually there, although it seems like a part of here is there! The milk tastes the same, but I drink it from a cup with a special astronaut spout. That way, at least I can fill up my tummy while Mommy's gone to work, even if my heart stays a little empty the whole time she's away. Something important I've realized about this nursing experience is that the alimentation aspect is only a very small part of it all.
