We decided to have the wedding aboard the Belle for several reasons. At first, when we had decided to have a Halloween wedding, we wanted to have the wedding someplace haunted. Most of the places that are haunted locally are not available for that type of event, not within our meager price range, or not practical for late October (weather-wise).
Then we came across the add for the Belle, which advertises haunted cruises. The boat itself is not haunted as far as we know, but it takes these cruises out to Old Fort Mifflin, which is one of the most haunted places I've ever been in. Then we took the tour of the boat, and checked out the prices and that was all we needed.
For $70 per head (the cheap menu, which is still pretty good), we get rental on one deck, the catering, the wedding cake and the DJ. That's pretty good! In all, our bill is $6499.50...that's for 100 people. It's also nice because all the taxes and gratuities are included!
Here is what we get for our hard-earned money: the buffet table- on the buffet table: Tossed garden salad, Beef Chateau with Herb Crust, Maddalena Chicken, Seafood Del Gorno in a fennel dijon sauce, Caramel Glazed Carrots with Tarragon, Potatoes Parmigiana, Ginger Rice, Fresh Bakery Rolls with Creamy Butter, Dessert: Apple Spiced Layer Cake.

The boat boards at 6:30pm, 7:00-8:00pm the boat is dockside for the ceremony, and the boat sails from 8:00-11:00pm.
Choice of linens
In addition, the wedding coordinator, Kim Lyons, is one of the nicest and most helpful people I've ever met. She got engaged the same day I did, and has a huge book of ideas from all the weddings that have been on the boat.
The Captain of the boat can even perform the ceremony for a fee, although we aren't doing that.
