Seasons
The solitude I've lived in, that I called my life,
To be alone evermore, to never again know a wife.
The battle was yours, this cold heart to win.
From my hearts autumn, new dreams soon begin.
Just as the spring, with each day a new start.
You unfreeze the winter to open my heart.
Bitterness there has long been forgotten,
Replaced anew with dreams to be gotten.
Our two hearts together, new dreams I believe,
How could we have known, that you had to leave?
The emptiness deep in my soul does linger,
Touching my heart like an icy cold finger.
Our love and our memories will never be far,
I need only look up to gaze on our star.
The gift that you leave me, from heaven above,
You've once again shown me, the glory of love.
