My Spring Break

The Tedious retelling You all Dreaded.

Friday, march 5

Well. I uploaded the last diary entry, rushed off and managed to catch the bus. As I got home, I caught Aziza just as she was leaving to go see a friend and shop. I got up and called Angela, and looked for the tape copy of the Tori bootleg of the concert we were both at that I wanted to give her. I went back out and waited for her to come by. The sweetheart decided to help out after I whined and moaned about being sort of really broke, and paid me money in advance for future baby sitting of her 19-month old son. WeEE :) it felt a bit strange, thiough, because I adore the kid already, and would gladly do it for free.

I went back into the apartement and settled in on the couch with a book (Bridget Jones Diary) and my quilt, expecting a nothing evening. La La La. Knock on door. "Hey Jennie, this is Charlotte, the movie buff I wanted to introduce you to. We thought you migh be bored so we came to see if you wanted to come to the silk road." "

Argh. Jesse and a pretty feline looking woman outside the door. I felt pretty lame answering in my "I'm being lazy and blahy" outfit (t-shirt and shorts and unruly hair), coz they were all nice in hats and things, but I let them in. Duh. After me flopping around to get re dressed and talking to them, we left and simply went to The Silk Road Tea House. Jesse was right. Me and Charlotte did get along :)

At the Silk Road, we got some nice tea (this place is very turkish/middle eastern new age kind'a weird. I quite like it, but sometimes it does make me want to run out an eat red meat and smash an electric guitar.) and talked a bit. Suddenly Charlotte wandered off, and came back bringing this odd man. I can't quite determin where he's from, but he had a strange name, and an accent. Charlotte said something about wanting to learn about numerology, and.. it turns out he knew quite a lot about it.

Okay, it was weird. Hehe. So he asks me for my birthday, and I tell him, and he replies: "You are a 6. Aaah, you are of Venus. *insert weird grin* The Planet of love, yes. White is your colour. You need to wear more white, it has great healing power for you, it is your medicinal colour. You will achieve your greatest success and fortune before you are 35."

*insert my baffled whine* "But I don't LIKE white, and after 35 it's all just downhill?"

"Well, white is your colour, and... oh, and ice blue. And no, not downhill, it's just your success will happen before you are 35. You also like the luxuries and pleasures in life.. you really like to find pleasure in life. And you tend to be lazy."

At this point, I let out a "GREAT!! So I AM going to marry a 98-year old millionaire after all!!" Hehe. Hrmph. I always saw myself getting married in red, dammit. In Vegas. Dammit.

He then did all of our names and numbers and dates and things, and said I am also a 3. A 3 is a universal friend of all, i.e. very friendly, spreads good feeling, liked people and is all around good to be around. Heh. I think I started to shake visably from laughter when he said "Whoever you touch, you bring luck. You are like a lucky charm." (Of course this prompted Jesse and Charlotte to start poking me.) "3 is very good because.. aah, you have great power to focus. Anything you want to do you can do if you put your mind and focus onto it, you start and concentrate slowly, and things will happen. You colours are white (!! argh!!) and yellow."

I was fussing a bit, so he calmed me down by saying it doesn't mean I have to start dressing entirely in white clothes (I was beginning to see myself as a new Emily Dickinson, only.. not writing.), or yellow/ice blue, a simple bracelet or anything is fine. "And you have yellow hair so that is good already, and white things in your hair." heheh.

Charlotte then proceeded to talk about the Chineze Zodiac thing, and I told him that I know already that I am a snake, and he started to grin. "Cool." "Wha?" "You are cool.. not cold but cool... assess things calmly. You also like to.. hmm, what's the word for it... tantalizing? Tease? You like to tease. You are also very, very flirtateous, and combining that with your 6... oh my." At this point I was choking with giggles an shaking my head "I don't own any white clothes and I'm hardly very cool, TANTALIZING or flirtateous." He just shook his head and dismissed my protests with a "Well, righ now you're at a time in your life when you say No No No, but soon there will be a time when you say Yes Yes Yes"

Hehhh. The last thing he said was when he out of the blue leaned forward and stared at my left hand. "You have a great thumb, did you know that? Very long and good. That's very good." Heh. As I've always felt I have kind of stubby fingers, I protested, so he went "NOno. They are very good, just chubby." Well, POO! hehe.

As we left he gave me his number if I ever want my chart done. Hah. We'll see. I am so oddly fascinated wih this stuff, yet I never believe it, of course, because.. well, it's weird stuff that makes no sense. I keep thinking of the time a woman running a new age store insisted that I probably lived in ancient Egypt in a former life because I happened to like pyramids. Blah. It's all just weird. Ah well. Could be worse - he could have told me I have to dress in pink and orange velvet, and that I am doomed already. Still. Very odd.

Charlotte then drove us to an Ultimate Fighting party. Exactly. It was just as dubious and odd as it sounds. Basically, it consisted of a ton of drunk young men an a few girls watching grown men beat the shit out of each other on big screen TVs. Interesting.. we soon left. After a brief stop at Wendy's as I hadn't eaten all day where I got a cheap veggy pita and fries to go, we went to Charlotte's place.

You can say me and her hit it off. She's a strange, fascinating woman, can pass for 19 but is 30. It's just... neat. Jesse told me about her earlier this week during a 2 hr phone session, and said he though we'd like each other coz we're both movie buffs. Well. We really are :) We started to watch Arachnophobia, but it was so much more fun to talk and go "well remember? Wasn't that GOOD? I can't believe you've seen it!!", that we never finished it.

Around two she drove us to Jesse's place and dropped us off. I got the couch and blankie and pillows ans stuff, and we tried really hard not to wake his mom up. Well, we didn't, heh, because I woke up to her radio, and by the time she walked downstairs I was wide awake and waved hi, and she jumped.. "Hi? Oh my I didn't know you were here.." She made me tea, and I attempted to wake Jesse up, but as that didn't prove very successful, I settled for a far Side comic book, and then went back to sleep.
