My Spring Break

The Tedious retelling You all Dreaded.

Well. I had to break it up in parts because a few of the entires are really long because I remember
them more clearly. Hence, choose your day of choice of my holiday to peek at below :)

Yeah I know, I'm totally over doing it. Tsk Tsk tsk.

Well, in other news (how fitting)... I very barely made my bus yesterday, and then ended up having the oddest conversation with the driver and 2 other passengers about alcohol. It was really neat, and I was a bit surprised to experience the kind of honesty that is usually only reserved for faceless strangers online. Once I got off, I did some grocery shopping at the drug store (Doritos, Toilet Paper, Snackwell cookies, and plain white name tags.), and made the bus home. (A guy had me alarmed because he tried to alert me that my purse was falling off the seat. It wasn't, but the attention was sweet.)

Once home, it was nice to see Gene again (he went home to NJ for spring break), and me, him and Aziza watched the American Comedy Awards. "I want to strip naked and swim in Los Angeles river!" I like Tracy Ullman :)

As Aziza drove Gene home, I made the yummiest dinner - roasted portobello mushrooms with cheese and garlic, and roasted green bell pepper, served with rice. OOo. I taped Tori performing an old song on a Saturday Night Live rerun, and watched "Primal Fear". MAN Edward Norton is amazing. Bone chilling, eek. There was a bit of tension between me and Aziza when she got home over some domestical stuff (I have a feeling I'm quite a domestical putz, but I am doing my best to improve, and I'm glad to feel I have done some improvement already, though. :) Blah, where's Roseanne, the Domestical Goddess when you need her?;), but I think we worked it out.

Ahhh, nice sleep, yey :) It was very odd waking up, though, because I was sooo desoriented. I recall waking up with a jerk, look at the clock and think "Shit! I'm late! It's 17!". 17? Heh. I don't know what I was thinking or seeing. After a while I realized it was 7.15, and plenty of time to get ready, and hence I did. The last thing I did before leaving was putting my newly acquired name tags to use.

Okay, the name tags. So I don't know if you've ever seen it, but at my old site, I have a little feature called Random Label of The Day Generator, and all it does is give you a random word, basically. I started it because sometimes it gets on my nerves the way people pidgeon hole each others, and I just.. liked the idea. Well, the start of the generator came because I was sitting there wishing I could make my own t-shirts, because then I would make a t-shirt for every day with just a word on my chest expressing a feeling or just.. whatever I felt like writing. The generator was a way to sort of realize that, even in the slightest. Well, yesterday I was having my all too frequent urge again to stick a word to my chest (I think yesterday I wanted "Elvis" on my chest, no idea why) and.. remembered the name tags we played around with back at the first CarolinaCon. Duh!

So today I'm donning a nice tag with "SWIRL" on it. It's fun. Yes. :) Ta.

Oh I still haven't told about Sam. Well I'm too lazy right now. Tomorrow. Till then, groggy hungover wrinkly pink shirt Sam is all there is, hehe.
