My Spring BreakThe Tedious retelling You all Dreaded.Saturday, march 13 Okay. We woke up around noon-2 pm, and just.. hung around, talking and eating yummie breakfast. "Hey we should go rent some more movies!".. we did. We ended up with The Last Party (really interesting documentary by Robert Downey Jr that totally surprised me just by being very good, and very honest.), Alice's Restaurant (I really don't know why. Arlo Guthrie kind'a mood?), and.. Box of Moon Light and Glory Daze with.. Sam. The sad part is we had both seen Box of Moon Light before, and still got it, because.. well, we needed more Sam. Heheh. We also bought a copy each of "Primal Fear" because... You know. Edward Norton. As the guy at register talked with us, Charlotte asked him if it was true that Christopher Lloyd had been there a few years ago, rented a movie and then returned it late and never paid the late charges, and he confirmed. Hehe. Off to The Silk Road. MmmM, nummy vanilla tea. We ended up going through the poetry drawer again, and felt forced to leave some notes ourselves. Of course, I don't write, so I ended up with a lame note ("And your eyes/and your eyes/size me up/size me down..."), and then we went walking a bit. As we passed a tiny restaurant thing, I saw a note where they boasted about their veggy hot dog, so we went in and I tried one. It was sooo good! It was the neatest little place too, obviously run by a New Yorker, and they were just.. neat. As Charlotte and I sat down to eat, I noticed a board boasting "record eaters", and for unknown reasons I got really miffed to see that the most hot dogs anyone's eaten was 16. _16_. This is a COLLEGE town, and that's all? I spent the rest of the stay saying I'd come back and friggin' break it, but then I was informed veggy dogs didn't qualify, so poo. As we walked back to the car, we suddenly spotted Jesse outside the Silk Road, leaving. It was quite a coinsidence and strike of luck we stumbled upon him, which was duely noted as the three of us stumbled back inside and had.. more tea.. and more talking. This time it was Jesse's turn to be kind of quiet. I have a feeling it was because me and Charlotte were yabbering so much about this and that cute guy we'd seen and Sam Rockwell and ahahah that and this, but ah well. Around 7 we left and went to Harris Teeter and bought 3 bottles of champagne, and I got to throw a hissy fit because I didn't get carded. You don't understaaaand. I know I'm 21 and legal, but dammit, I _never_ get carded and it makes me feel like an old goat. What made things worse was that CHARLOTTE got carded, and she's 10 years OLDER THAN ME. *cry* 8( As we got back to Charlotte's apartement, we proceeded to watch Alice's Restaurant, which took about 4 hours because we kept walking out into the kitchen to find things to eat, or bathroom, or we just plain lost track of what was going on. Okay, it wasn't.. quite my kind of movie, but I will say that it had some really funny scenes sprinkled throughout it. By the time it was over, it was near midnight, and we plopped in Glory Daze (where the background image is taken from, actually). Oh, my geez. Ben Affleck in a terrible mohawk. Brendan Fraser in a tiny part on a bus. "I got TEEN ANGST!!" Sam was very cute, though, and I really liked that pink shirt, hehe. Judgment on the movie - actually quite funny here and there, really fun soundtrack, and well, almost Full Frontal sam again [shower curtain covering up slightly]. Poor Jesse gave up half way through, though... even I started to get impatient now and then.. "Charlotte, rewinding is fun, but not _every_ scene... ".. I like, though. And Box of Moon Light we all liked, but then I liked it the first time I saw it too. John Turturro is surprisingly good looking in it, and Sam.. well, I actually think he's cuter with long danky hair and a kind of scrawn pale body than the tan more muscly short haired look he sported in Lawn Dogs, but HEHEHEHE either way.. *drool*. Oh, and yes.. once again, Full Frontal Sam, this time it was reoccuring. heheheh. It's a movie I recommend, though.. I really like it :) By the time we were finished we'd had about 2 bottles of champagne, and tons and tons and TONS of food. I was getting tired, but Charlotte got a sudden urge to get chocolate milk from the farm next door to where Jesse lives, so off they went.. I stayed behind and started to watch The Last Party, and continued to watch it with Charlotte.. we all fell asleep somewhere halfway through, though. Sunday, March 14 |
