AKC Canine Health Foundation/WTCA Donor Advised Fund
Parent Clubs that wish to make restricted contributions for a specific health related
purpose to the AKC Canine Health Foundation may do so by establishing a Donor Advised
Fund. These contributions are restricted to a purpose identified by the donor club. WTCA
established its Donor Advised Fund (DAF) in 1998.
Some features of the WTCA DAF are summarized as follows:
- Contributions may be restricted to veterinary research that will advance the health of
the Welsh Terrier.
- Contributions may be restricted to veterinary research that will study a specific
disease or group of diseases.
- Multiple contributions may be accepted to the fund from individuals.
- Interest may be earned on the sum total of contributions to the Donor Advised Fund.
- The AKC will match funds from $1.00 to $3.00 for every dollar raised when a project is
approved for funding.
- Donations to the WTCA DAF are tax deductible and receipts will be sent by the AKC
