RAGE Rage is a form of sudden, unprovoked, aggressive behavior. The dog may attack viciously without a warning. According to Dr. Gary Johnson of the U. of MO, there is debate amongst veterinary neurologists as to whether this is really seizure activity or something else. The University of Missouri research team expressed an interest in dogs with Rage Syndrome. It would be very useful if an episode could be videotaped, but they understand that it may be difficult. These animals should have the benefit of a complete neurological work-up. The neurologists working with the Canine Epilepsy Consortium (information available on the "RESEARCH" section of CEN site) are interested in samples from these affected dogs and their families where feasible.
