Rev. J. Neely Boyer will be in charge of the funeral services today for Frank J. Resler, age 69, who died early Tuesday morning after a prolonged illness. Dr. J. R. Howe will also speak at the service to be held at 2:30 p.m., in the United Brethren church. It is hoped Dr. A. T. Howard, college friend of Mr. Resler, of Dayton will also be able to take part in the memorial service.
Friends may call at the Stockdale Funeral Home until 1 o'clock today when the body will lie in state at the church until time for the service.
The Resler family made their home in Columbus since leaving Westerville where they lived a number of years, both he and his wife having spent their childhood here and until both were graduated from Otterbein college. From 1909 to 1913 Mr. Resler was the voice instructor of Otterbein faculty. For the past few years he had been living in retirement. His wife has served on the board of trustees of Otterbein College for 17 years.
Besides his wife, Mrs. Elizabeth Cooper Resler, he is survived by one son, Mr. Frank C. Resler of Columbus, and one sister, Mrs. Lydia Resler Miller of Scranton, Pa.
