Mrs. Mertie Lee Smith, 94, a former member of the Marble Cliff Council for 30 years, died Sunday in Macon Gs., where she had been residing.
Widow of Dr. McKendree Smith, she was a charter member of First Community Church and had served as a trustee and building committee member of the church.
SURVIVING ARE a daughter, Mrs. Richard E. Sherrington; four grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.
Service will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday at Deyo funeral home, where friends may call from 7 to 9 p.m. Tuesday.
