Services Were Held
Tuesday in United
Brethren Church
Mrs. Ella D. White, age 74, widow of Rev. James A. White, ___ West Main street died Saturday night in Grant Hospital where she had been confined for several weeks after she fell at her home and suffered a hip fracture. Rev. J. Neely Bowyer conducted services at 1 p.m., Tuesday, in the United Brethren church, where she had been a faithful member ever since the family moved to Westerville in 1919.
A native of Piqua, Ohio, Mrs. White had lived many yeas in Indiana where her husband held pastorates during his years of ministry in the United Brethren church. His death occurred in October 1943. The real reason for their coming to Westerville to live was to educate their sons in Otterbein college.
She is survived by five sons, Raleigh K. White of San Francisco; David H. White of Indianapolis; Lawrence L. White of Ratoul, Ill.; Ronald J. White of Sidney and James A. White of Columbus, nine grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
Entombment was in Otterbein Mausoleum by K.R. Fichner. The body was taken to the church where it lay in state one hour preceding the services.
