Rev. Donald W. Cryer officiated at the funeral services for Carray W. (Kelly) Johnson, age 81, who died Thursday night at his home, 84 South State street, after an illness of a few days. Services were held at 2:30 p. m., Sunday, Aug. 22, in the Westerville Methodist church.
Mr. Johnson, who had spent his entire life in this community, was born on a farm on the Sunbury road. He retired several years ago from the furniture business. His wife preceded him in death about 10 years ago.
Surviving are two daughters, Mrs. Goldie Maynard of Lansdowne, Pa., and Mrs. Alyce Burkholder of West Lafayette, Ind.; two sons, Dr. Harry Johnson of Pittsburgh and Mr. Clarence Johnson, an artist, of Lumberville, Pa.; two grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
Burial was in the Otterbein Mausoleum by Stockdale Funeral Home. Pallbearers, all nephews of Mr. Johnson, were Mr. Percy G. Lehman, Mr. Clifford Moss, Mr. Frank Brehm, Mr. W. W. Wagoner, Mr. Roscoe Alford and Mr. Guy Taylor, all of Westerville.
