Funeral services for Mrs. Ruth White Curfman, descendant of four pioneer Franklin County families and widow of a former PUBLIC OPINION publisher, were conducted Monday at the Moreland Funeral Home.
Mrs. Curfman passed away last Friday at her home, 64 W. Broadway after a long illness.
She was a descendant of the first child born in the Mayflower Colony, Pegran White. During a long and active life, Mrs. Curfman was a member of the First EUB Church, charter member of the Westerville Women's Music Club, the Saturday Music Club of Columbus and the Otterbein Women's Club. With her husband and son she was active in publishing this newspaper and in the operation of the State Theater for 38 years.
Surviving are her husband, Dwight, a son, Dwight Jr., and four grandchildren. Another son, Robert, was killed in World War II.
Entombment was in the Otterbein Mausoleum.
