A Roman Religion For Today

The Divine Parents. There is only ONE supreme being, and that ONE is pantheistic in nature. The One is everything that is, was, or ever could be and more. We, as human beings, can never fully understand the One. And, therefore, we must understand the One by examining its parts and facets. The first division of ONE is TWO, the Twin forms of God and Goddess. We accept that the best way to view the One is as Divine Parents, as a Celestial Mother and Father. There are many possible images of these Parents. One Hindu image is of Krishna/ Lakshmi. Another is Shiva/ Shakti. The image supported here is of Pomona, Goddess of the Fruitful Tree (of Life) and Vertumnus God of the Changing Seasons (of Life and Of the Year). Other images are Diana and Pan and Isis and Osiris and Cerridwen and Herne.

POMONA, the Lady, is the solid, firm foundation which gives birth to all reality. She is the planter, the tender, and the pruner of the Tree Of Life. She is the invisible, the hidden meaning, the secret sought after.

VERTUMNUS, The Lord, is the ACTIVE, CHANGING, MOVING CURRENT WHICH IS LIFE AND DEATH. He is the seed and the fruit, new, ripe, and rotting.. He is the visible, the outer perception,the world we experience 'out there'.

THE MYSTERY OF POMONA AND VERTUMNUS -They tend the Tree Of Life, the Self(Psyche), which grows from a seed of the Divine(Soul).
-The Tree is eternal and grows ever upward. To the Tree is grafted the Vine, individual life experiences of the Self. The Tree is eternal, the Vine is temporary and dies after bearing fruit to be reborn inthe next year(life).

-Pomona is the base of the universe. She is Truth, Abundance, and Power, the Maiden, the Mother, and the Crone. This is a reflection of the Triple Functions of the Whole(MASC./FEM./NEUT.)

-Vertumnus is the symbol of the link between the individual and the Eternal through movement(cycles). the God of Death and Eteranl Life through Balance and Atonement. (Eternal life is maintained by eternal change)

She is the hidden underlying eternal truth(spiritual).
He is the apparent ever-changing empirical truth(scientific).

The Parts Of the Self The individual being begins, like a tree, as a seed, a divine seed. This seed is the soul. From the soul grows forth the self, ESSER. The self is made up of many parts, which function like tools or ornaments for the soul.
CORPORE, the body is the home of the self. It is the clothing of the self or the RV of the self.
Behind the body is FORMA, the form, the energy shape or etheric blue print of the body.
MENSE, the mind, is the analytical and intellectual part. The self's computer.
MEMORIA, the memeory, is the soul's history book as well as this persona's photo album.
SPIRITO, the breath, connects the body to the universalpower source and feed it with the Force of Life.
ANIMA, the soul, is the living core of the being, the divine seed. ANIMO, the will, is the seat of feeling and impetus.
UMBRA, the shade, is the vehicle of the self after death of the body.
GENIO, the guardian spirit, is the power of inspiration.
ANIMAL DOMESTIC,the pet, is the subconscience. It is in contact with the divine. It molds reality to suit the master.
ERO, the master, is the ego. The persona of this incarnation. The one in direct control of the physical life. The talking head.
CUSTODE, the guardian, is the superconscience. The personal representative of the divine. It delivers all that is necessary for life and learning. The pet requests from the guardian whatever it thinks will please the master.
