Then I drove on to Aberystwyth because I needed more stuff that was not available or overpriced in Lampeter and spent a while trying to be enthusiastic about shopping but couldn't really get into it. I came home with a torch, which I really wanted, a 50 metre extension cable, for the shredder, and some filing equipment to get all my WIT paperwork sorted out. When I got back I wanted to get on with the filing, it was feeling like a pressing necessity. But first I had to tidy up my sitting room, that took a little while because I really had to hoover after I'd done that, and believe me, if I say it needed hoovering then it really needed hoovering. Then I started to file, which began with deciding how to file and involved lots of sorting and lots of chucking. I also had to go through my wallet looking for receipts for expenses and there was no point in doing that without going through the whole wallet, and that took some time. When all the papers were unfolded and put into various heaps I couldn't believe how much space it all took up, it was like someone had emptied a gargantuan handbag, not a wallet. I did good on the expenses as well. Amazingly it was after 9.30 pm by the time I'd done that and time I ate some dinner. Now I'm going to do something I've never done before, I'm going to take the tv upstairs and watch a video in bed. |
