As you can see, the lads have been very busy, and with 11 of their 13 singles topping the charts, they have got into the Guinness Book Of Records! Now THAT'S an achievement!
They have released 4 albums, 3 of them have topped the charts, with their first album titled 'Westlife' only reaching number 2.
 
Westlife have achieved more in three years, than most people might hope to achieve in a lifetime!
This all started in Sligo. In Shane, Mark and Kians early years growing up in Dublin, they appeared on stage together in a local theatres production of Grease. "During the interval we would come out and do pop covers" recalls Shane. They came up with the idea of singing together in a band at the after show party of the successful play. The result was 'Six as One'. Three other guys joined them - Derek, graham and Michael -  and together they played their first gig at the Southern Hotel, Sligo.
