One Last Planning Meeting! 7/20/06 The final reunion planning meeting will be Tuesday, July 25, at the Elks at 6:30 pm. Help is always welcome! Also, Barb Richartz is trying to wrap up the Memory book and there are a few of you who haven't sent in your information yet. 7/02/06 Reunion time is getting close...only a few weeks until it's here! I'm updating the page so you all know what the final plans are, and what information we currently have. Verna has sent out a "final" letter to as many people as possible, giving the reunion information (including the revised cost, which is $67.00 per person ). We're hoping to hear from you soon if you haven't already responded! 5/18/06 Thanks to all of you who are responding to the plans for the reunion and the golf tournament, and for sending your memory book information. I know Verna really appreciates every response she gets! And we're all looking forward to seeing lots of classmates again. I will be visiting my daughter in Oklahoma for a week, then traveling to Nebraska and on home the next week, but I will be checking the e-mail when I have a chance, so don't put off sending your news! 2/25/06 More reunion info: Due to some "technical difficulties" (um, read confusion?) resulting in only four classmates attending the third reunion planning meeting, an additional meeting will be needed before coming to a firm decision on the menu and cost of attending. If you can POSSIBLY make it to the March 1 meeting, PLEASE DO SO! Your input as a class member will really help make this a great reunion. Thanks, Diane

Third Planning Meeting! Wednesday February 22, 2006 7:00 p.m. Willy D's Cafe Wiley City

2/9/06 Okay, everyone, now we're cooking! Our 40th Reunion slated for this summer is shaping up. Here's information from Verna about results of the second planning meeting last night. The committee agreed to set the date for Saturday, August 12 at the Elks (same place as last time). "We liked the food, and the fact that there were two separate areas for dancing and visiting, so the music wasn't so loud you couldn't hear conversations. Also, the price is much more reasonable than other places." The next planning meeting will be Wednesday, 2/22/06, in the cafe Willey D's* in Wiley City. By the time that meeting is over, we'll have figured out the cost and nailed down a menu. Please come to the meeting if at all possible, or contact Verna if you have ideas, suggestions, or special needs. Hope you can make it to this 3rd meeting. *I hear the food there is great! Also, NOW is the time to get our contact information up-to-date and correct. Verna would like you to PLEASE send her (or me) the email and street addresses of any classmates you know (including yourself). If you know someone has moved, but don't have the actual address, we'd appreciate getting whatever information we can (city, region, etc.). Even if you think we should already have the information, please send it anyway--since 5 years is a long time and those things do tend to change. We'd rather have duplicate information than miss out on contacting anyone. Thanks for checking here to see what's happening. Second Planning Meeting! Wednesday February 8, 2006 7:00 p.m. Apple Tree Restaurant Apple Tree Golf Course Yakima

1/26/06 Here's a progress report from Verna about the first reunion planning meeting held on January 25th: "We had a nice visit with Mike Stobie, Jim Wimberley, Steve and Robin Eichler and Curt and Annie Bell. The reunion will definitely be in August; we're waiting to hear from a couple more locations before we decide on the actual date and place - which should happen at our next meeting. We welcome anyone who can come and help us out." I urge you to contact Verna if you can help in any way...even if it's just to give moral support and encouragement! And if you'd like to add something we haven't done before, or do something different, or think of anything else to make this our best reunion ever, PLEASE contact Verna or me , whether you live in Yakima and can help physically...or live elsewhere and can help in other ways.
