Andy flipped the flicker light off. They weren’t going to turn here after all. The blipping target on the GPS kept on changing locations. Andy refused to stop following it, though. Frink had just been contacted yesterday and was informed of a recent string of vampire activities around Wisconsin. About a month ago, unusual murder victims were found in the Upper Peninsula of Michigan. The victims all had bite marks on the neck and were drained of blood. According to Frink, a certain Michigan-based team of Bureau 13 agents investigated these murders and had tracked down the perpetrator. The vampire turned out to be the head of a local drug cartel and had plenty of thugs to aid him. While the Michigan team fought his men, the vampire escaped. Now blood-drained murder victims were beginning to turn up all over Wisconsin. The most recent cases were homeless people in the North Side of Milwaukee. It was up to Team 13 to track down and stop this supernatural drug lord. It was a good thing the Michigan team had planted a tracking device on the vamp before he fled. *** “Lord” Paulington fashioned himself American royalty. He may not be able to participate in the open aspects of high society, but he did enjoy high culture in private. His new tomb was decorated like a Medieval castle, something his ancestors would have been proud of. He wore a black suit and a blood-red shirt all the time, and his henchmen acted as personal servants. He almost lost all of that when the government’s darker side tried to eliminate him. He had lost plenty of thugs and plenty of business during his flight, but he found a new market and a new gang here in Wisconsin’s largest ghetto. And there were lots of hoboes ripe for the picking. Paulington was always partial to the flavor of hoboes. Paulington thought of the succulent blood of bums as he went to finish a deal with the local Mafia. He would eliminate some of the Mob’s enemies while they sold his drugs. Easy enough, he thought. The Mafia accepted the deal mainly because they didn’t want the blame to fall on them. No one would suspect a vampire. Paulington scratched his prominent mole. He must have been experiencing a rash there, if that was possible for an undead creature. It had been itching a lot recently . . . Suddenly he felt a minor pain there and something fell out onto the floor. Something small and metal. A tracking device. Adventure Archive Home |
