| Chapter 1 "A BAND?!" Vicki shouted out shocked at what her boyfriend, Shane had just told her. "That's right, i'm joining a band" Shane smiled. "But, your horseriding, I thought that came first and...." Shane put a finger on Vicki's lips to hush her. "Stop worrying Vicks, i know what i'm doing!" Shane told her. "Ok, Ok, i'll trust ya on this one" she said as she hugged him "so tell me about the band.." Vicki and Shane were childhood sweethearts. Vicki had moved Sligo from London when she was 10. Her parents had bough her a pony for her 11th birthday and she had met Shane at the stables were he kept a horse too. They were best friends even though they went to different school and as they grew up together they saw each other as 'more than friends.' They were both good looking, Vicki with long, straight copper red hair, blue eyes & the most perfect smile girl could only dream about having. Shane was very handsome (and he knew about it too with the amount of gils that flocked at his feet), dark, short hair, deep hazel eyes, and the cheekiest grin that made girls fall for him. Vicki was amazed when Shane had told her everything to know about the band, it sound like they were going to be the next boyzone! "Wow!" she said gobsmacked. "Yeah" Shane laughed at his girlfriend's reaction "one thing though..." "What's that?" "I'm leaving to Dublin tomorow with Mark & Kian in search of two more band members." "How long for?" "A Week" Shane replied softly. "Oh!" Vicki looked down at the floor of the Carlton Cafe where Shane was doing his shift. It would've meant this would be the longest time away from each other in 3 years. "Hey, don't get upset" Shane smiled trying to hide the tears. "I'll phone ya everyday to keep you updated and when we come back I promise you'll be able to meet the rest of the band." Vicki tried to laugh to stop the tears and hugged Shane. Chapter 2 The phone rang at Vicki's house. Vicki was trying to get rid of the thought of Shane out of her head. he'd only been gone for three days but she missed him badly. Vicki walked over to the phone hoping it would be Shane. "Hello?" "It's Friday night tomorow you know what that means!" It was Sarah, Vicki's best mate and Friday night meant girls night out! "Oh, I don't wanna go this week." Vicki told her. "Don't tell me, you're missing Shane too much to have fun, right?" "How did you guess?" Vicki was surprised. "Hey, best friends sense these kinda things. Look, in my opinion, you're letting Shane have all the fun! He's probably in Pod right now chatting up loadsa pretty ladies with the other lads!" "WHAT!?" "Ok, forget the chatting up the ladies thing, but I bet he's having it large!" "Yeah I guess!" "So, my house at six tomorow?" "ok cool!" And Sarah hung up with Vicki smiling to herself 'Yeah, I can have a good time without Shane!' she thought. |
