Obviously, you're still an apprentice.
Your mentor knew what the test would be, so he gave you the first Six goes before you went to see the alchemist. Here are your first Six goes:

1) Vegetable, Vegetable, Vegetable, Vegetable, Vegetable.
2) Vegetable, Vegetable, Vegetable, Vegetable, Animal.
3) Animal, Vegetable, Animal, Vegetable, Animal.
4) Vegetable, Animal, Vegetable, Animal, Vegetable.
5) Animal, Vegetable, Animal, Animal, Animal.
6) Vegetable, Vegetable, Animal, Vegetable, Animal.

However, you do also have some common sense, so you went to see the squire on the way. You were wise enough not to tell him everything, so all you said was this: I've been asked Five questions, and I've got to get all Five right. The answer to each question is one of Two choices, but the person who's set me the problem will only tell me how many I've got right after I've answered all Five. So far, the most I've got right is Three. This is what he said:

You have two possibilities for each riddle.

If it is not wrong, then it must be right.

If it is not right, then it must be wrong.

If the only difference between two goes, is three answers, and two of those in both goes are wrong, then the other one must be right.

So, you continue on your journey to see the alchemist and you think about the problem on the way. Well, can you prove your worthyness? We'll see.
